Topside Manor's Guiding Principles:
- We want to remain a local not-for-profit healthcare community in which compassion and caring can be felt in day-to-day living.
- A reputation for high quality care.
- A place where residents want to live, staff enjoy working and the community is proud of.
- Everyone matters, and personal choice for residents should be possible at every level. A “home-like” design sets us apart and is top notch environment for seniors living there and staff working there.
- A comfortable home should be provided, which includes modern technology which enhances care, services, safety and security.
How does a nursing home benefit Sherman County?
- Topside Manor is 1 of TOP 10 LARGEST EMPLOYERS and EMPLOYS 50 PEOPLE WITH A PAYROLL OF NEARLY $2 MILLION ANNUALLY.
- Topside utilizes many local vendors for its services. Repairs to the building are frequently made by LOCAL CONTRACTORS. Medications and medical supplies are purchased through the LOCAL PHARMACY. The HOSPITAL AND MEDICAL STAFF serve residents who live at the manor.
- Employees who work at Topside Manor have children who are enrolled in the local school system. There are currently 14 students enrolled in local schools with an additional 10 children expected in the next five years.
- About two-thirds of income to Topside comes from outside Sherman County, Medicare and Medicaid payments. Nearly all of these incomes are in turn “re-spent” in Sherman County.
- For every $100 that is spent in Sherman County $68 STAYS in the County.
- A strong health care system can help attract and maintain business and industry growth, attract and retain retirees, and also create jobs in the local area.
