About Us

Topside Manor, Inc., which is a non-profit healthcare organization, is currently 1 of the top 10 employers in Sherman County behind the school district, hospital and government. It employs 50 people with a payroll of nearly $2 Million annually.

As an integral piece of the health care system, school district and local business community, Topside Manor is a significant factor in the overall quality of life for Sherman County residents!

We are passionate about caring for elders! Thru our Graceful Living care approach, we focus on individualized care provided by our care partners. Our home is intentional rather than institutional, staff are focused on people rather than process, and elder's lives are purposeful rather than passive.

History

The original building, constructed in 1960, was used as a nursing home facility, with additions to the building occurring in 1976 and 1982. There were further renovations and updates made in 1997, 2001 and 2005. In 2019, the facility went through a change of ownership, becoming what is now known as Topside Manor, Inc! In July of 2022, elders moved in to their new home. The small home design offered private bedrooms and baths, open kitchen, dining, and living rooms, and a person directed care model.

The citizens have always supported the local nursing home in Sherman County. From its earliest beginning through its present day 45-bed nursing facility, the facility has served thousands of elderly and their families with quality care. People who have lived in Sherman County for many years are grateful that there is a facility here for their loved ones. It's the same people, who as they grow older, will be able to remain in the community surrounded by friends and family.
